Delightfully incongruous, the POINTE is a delicate titanium taper sharpened to dangerous perfection on one end and punctuated by a bouquet of lustrous black feathers on the other. Each one comes in a pointy pineapple leather sheath, lending both protection + pizazz to the piece.
Late 17th century toothpicks were the initial inspiration for the POINTE, often crafted of solid gold and embellished with precious gemstones. Regarded as symbols of status + wealth, these ornamental instruments were utilitarian pieces of jewelry in which neither form nor function prevailed. As such, I loved the idea of transmuting a ritual that time has since rendered banal + impolite, elevating it into a curious elegance that naturally dispels any notions of shame.
Equal parts sexy and savage, the POINTE is as versatile as it is quixotic, its range of practice limited only by its master’s imagination.
